Hong Kong - A weekend break

After entering the workforce, I found myself very strapped for travelling time. Gone were the days of taking long holidays during the 4 month summer break. And of course, there's always the maximum number of leave days one is entitled to. So when a friend suggested travelling during the long National Day weekend, I told myself why not? I could save on leave and we would not have to waste so much time up in the air since Hong Kong was only about a 4hr ride away.

So here goes our 4 day jammed pack trip in the bustling city of HONG KONG!

View from the 30th floor of the Metropole park hotel, Causeway Bay
The hotel we stayed at :)
Same view at night but with the street lamps and neon lit building bringing light to the city

A trip to HK is not complete without eating dim sum
We had a very satisfying dim sum meal at
Sweet Dynasty
G/F, 100 Canton Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong, China

Price range: $12 - $18 per person

Chicken Feet

Revived the kid in us by heading over to Ocean Park

#Tourist Tip - Bought our entrance tickets at Admiralty bus terminal and boarded Citybus service 629 which went directly to the park. Managed to skip the queues as we had already bought our tickets at the bus terminal. Ticket prices were the same both at the bus terminal and at the door.

The next day, we took a cable car to visit Ngong Peng Village.
#Tourist Tip - The cable car rides were actually close the last time I came here in December (winter period) due to the foggy weather conditions. Best to check weather conditions before coming here as you'll end up taking the long MTR train ride back to the city if the cable cars are not working.
