Manchester United Football Club

As my family has two big Manchester United fans, we spent an afternoon at Manchester for the sole purpose of checking out the football club. We had ourselves booked for the "Museum and Stadium Tour". It cost us 16 pounds per adult. During the tour, we were treated to a 360 degree spectator view of the stadium and even had the privilege to seat at the VIP box! We also had the chance to step into the press conference and locker rooms.

The tickets also included viewing the Man Utd museum where artifacts detailing the rich history of the club were on displayed. At the end of our tour, the two ardent fans spent a huge amount of time shopping at the Megastore. We ended the trip on a sweet(salty for me :D) note at the Man Utd cafe.

Welcome to the theatre of dreams!
The seats were were painted to form the words "Manchester United"
As we were there during the off peak season of June, the staff were seen working on the fields in preparation for the upcoming season.
A huge Nike advertisement at the stadium seats.
Hmm...but only visible when no one seats on those white painted seats.
At the VIP box where seats are name after important and famous people of the club.
Sorry for the blur pic but heres the changing room where jerseys of the different players were being hung up.
At the Man Utd cafe where each seat was customised to name after a player and his jersey number.
 Fabio!
My tea time snack.
My ultra succulent beef steak burger that came paired with crispy yellow fries.

Was the trip worth my 16 pounds? For a non football fan, I found the tour interesting and informative. The guide was humourous, knowledgeable and able to answer questions from die hard fans. There was also an adequate amount of time set aside for picture taking at the different parts of the stadium.  As such, the stadium is worth a visit if one happens to be passing through Manchester. Expect to spend a total of 3 - 4 hours on the tour, viewing the museum, shopping and eating at the cafe.
