Food fest in JB!
The bf and I hadn't gone to Johor Bahru in a while so he asked if I wanted to cross the causeway during one of the weekends. So last Saturday after waiting for a ginormous time for him to be ready (are your other halves also like that?), we finally meet at the stroke of midnight.
Ding Dong Ding Dong. We thought we cld cross the causeway swiftly. But low and behold, we were caught in a jam at the causeway. Couldnt believe that there were other like minded Singaporeans like us who decided to cross the causeway at the ungodly hour of 12.
I kid you not when I said that there was a jam. Should have taken a shot with the time stamped on it for even better evidence :D
Anyhow by the time we got into Johor it was about 1am. As the bf had a kway teow craving, we went to this coffee shop where he was able to satisfy his craving and buy other dishes to make him even happier. All in all, we bought
- one bowl of kway teow
- one plate of intestines
- one plate of chicken feet (cos he knows me best :)
- one plate of pork
- one plate of hay bee hiam
- one plate of salted vege (kiam chye)
- one plate of beancurd
And it cost us only $16 SGD altogether :))
Headed to our usual massage joint slightly after as we had an appt booked at 2.30am.
Yes it was really late as they were all fully booked before that.
But I think the boss must be making lots of $$$ cos they just expanded the shop.
Hope that wld translate to a shorter waiting time in the near future for customers - E.g. me :o)
