Satay by the Bay - Satay and other Singaporean food

Satay by the Bay as the name suggests, tries to recreate the days of enjoying Satay on small stools and short benches.

For the novelty of it all, we tried sitting on the small tools and short benches. It was a bad choice! My legs and back were aching after the whole experience. Please go sit at the normal tables provided. The only good thing about the small table was the waterfront view which we could enjoy although it was too dimly lit to see anything.

Ordered our satay from City Satay.
It cost us a whooping $1.50 per stick for the pork belly!

Remember the $10 - $12 steamboat buffet they used to have along Marina Bay? Well, they've brought it back to Satay by the Bay but of course with inflation setting in. It is $22 per person now.

Of course, a hawker centre is not complete without our local delights. And so they have other stalls that sell seafood, big prawn noodle, bak kut teh, bbq chicken wing etc.

They even have a bar for those in need of alcohol!

And now to what I ordered.....
BBQ chicken wings
$1.50 per piece

Prawn noodles
$5

Omelette, Stingray, Vege
$30

The quality of food was good although prices are 30cents to $2 more expensive than other hawker centres. It is a very far walk from the MBS hotel so driving would be better option. If you are looking for a new hawker centre to eat at and enjoy going to ChompChomp/ Newton, this would be a new option to try out!
