A Saturday weekend with my tummy.
Dear tummy, I know you are hungry but I am just too lazy to get myself out of the house. It's the weekend and I would like to just laze around at home. I've whipped up an English breakfast set for you and I hope you will enjoy it while I've my eyes fixated on the latest soap drama. By the way, I hope Gabby's tummy likes the breakfast too.
A dear friend of mine has a laksa craving.
We head to 328 Katong Laksa, the best laksa in Singapore for lunch.
My bowl of laksa consisted of cockles, prawns, fishcake, bee hoon, laksa gravy and leaves.
Being adventurous, I added an extra spoonful of chili paste to give my laksa that extra kick. Dear tummy, I hope I didnt overworked you. If the coconut milk was too potent, please let me know.
I'm am craving something grilled for dinner.
The family heads down to try Mookata, a Thai BBQ eatery at Upper Thomson Road.
We buy the set for 4 people. It cost us about $38++.
Dear tummy, I am sad. They gave us such a miniature pot that my fishball could not be fully submerged in the boiling soup. If I ever go back there again, I hope they will give us a bigger pot. Actually, after today's experience, will I even go back there again? Anyway tummy, do u know that we were given pig lard to oil the metal grill? It felt super sinful cooking my food in lard but yet it tasted so damn good.
Dear tummy, I hear your rumbles again! It's not even 12midnight yet but you are rumbling again. So I listen to your whinings and treat you to supper over the causeway. See the things I do for you. I hope you really appreciate it. I fed you lok lok for supper. You may be wondering what is that. Well, its stick food cooked in boiling water or on a grill. The fun part is choosing which stick food to give you. Tonight I chose bacon with mushrooms, chicken wings and century eggs. I hope you liked it.
