Dean and Deluca

Spent a Sunday afternoon chilling at Dean & Deluca with the family. Dad had vouchers and hence we decided to try this highly raved American restaurant. Prior to coming here, I had numerous warnings on the service and pricing of this place.

My sister and I started off with a cucumint each which was priced at $7.50 per cup.
The drink was a great choice as the refreshing tangy taste
was a great perk me up to my lazy Sunday morning.
If you are going to order lots of creamy and cheesy food like what we did,
this drink acts as a great pairing to help you wash down all the "heavy" food.

Pan Seared Salmon - $15

A simple tasty fish dish but do not expect any frills apart from the
tomatoes and green veggies as seen on the above pic.

Beef set - $24

The beef was tender, soft and came complete with greens and potatoes.
This dish reminds me of the traditional Sunday roast that is served on Sundays in
England.

Salmon Benedict - $18

The eggs were cooked just right such that the yolk would ooze out upon
contact with your cutlery.
One of the few places that do good poached eggs!
I also like how they were generous with the grilled mushrooms.

American Country Breakfast - $22

Nothing artistically fancy and it looks like something one could make at home.
For $22, you decide if its worth your money.

Truffle fries - $11

To all truffle oil lovers, rejoice! They serve truffle fries here!

Asparagus in hollandaise sauce

Be warned! Extremely creamy dish.

Caramel Cheese Cake - $8

Extremely cheesy cheese cake. I ate one spoonful and I was full! This type of cake is best shared.

Red Velvet Cake - $9

Yes another craze, the red velvet. Another place to get your red velvet craving fulfilled.

It may surprise you but this place is self-service. From finding a seat to ordering and taking your meals from the counter. I came here on a Sunday afternoon at around 12noon and it took awhile for me to find a table for 4. The serving time for food was much better though. We waited an average about 10minutes before our first dish came. Commendable is their willingness to chill our cakes in their fridge after ordering. This allowed us to finish our mains without having to re-queue in order to have our desserts.
