What most Singaporeans wear to a wedding

This is going to be a pretty random post about my thoughts on weddings I've attended this year.

Strangely, I have a tendency to people watch more often at weddings. I love to observe whose carrying what bag and wearing what outfit. With the plethora of blogshops out there in cyberspace, many girls tend to attend a wedding dinner  with an outfit from a blogshop. The cheeky child in me loves playing the guessing game and guessing mentally in my head, which blogshop that outfit came from. Sometimes to break the ice, I would even go, "Hey, that dress is from XXX right."
Anyhow, I don't have issues with people wearing blogshop dresses. In fact, I think they are financially smart people. The red packet or "ticket" to enter the lavish hotel dinner is already at least SGD$100. If you are going to buy an expensive outfit just for every other colleague/friend of friend/husband's friend wedding, then I salute you for being a very generous person!

Another common sight at wedding these days would be the 'it' bag. The current 'it' bag seems to be the classic Chanel bag. I spotted at least 10 woman carrying a Chanel bag and yes, some were even wearing those $30 blogshop dresses!
Well, with Chanel raising the prices of their classic, it sure is a good investment.
I mean if a Chanel can be 5K last year and currently retails at around 6K....
the % increase is actually much higher than most investment pdts out there....
If you are wondering how much a Chanel bag cost, prices can be found here.

Among branded clutches, I would say the YSL clutch was the most commonly sighted 'it' clutch.
With the big golden Y shinning  brightly in the middle, the clutch is definitely an eye catcher.

Blogshop dresses paired along an expensive 'it' accessory.
I guess thats a typical Singaporean wedding dinner for you.
Or maybe its just the circle of people I hang out with?

xoxo
