To enjoy the golden glows of the sunset
coupled with great Australian food
is a luxury and blessing I can't deny
Whats cooking this restaurant week at Salt
1st appetizer: crab omelette
The miso mustard broth went really well with the crab meat and omelette. The mushrooms gave the dish its additional crunchiness.
This dish gets 4 out of 5 stars.
2nd appetizer: salmon
The salmon was fresh and the avocado sauce was a great pairing.
This dish gets 4 out of 5 stars.
1st main course: grilled barramundi
A fresh catch is what we could describe the barramundi. Grilled at an appropriate temperature and time. The freshness was evidently retained in its cooking.
This dish gets 4 out of 5 stars.
2nd main course: beef tenderloin
The sauces were the icing to the dish. The beef tenderloin was tender but you could it wasn't really a high grade type of beef. For being able to turn something average into something tasty,
this dish gets 4.1 out of 5 stars.
1st dessert: chocolate delice with ice cream
The ice cream was a great pairing to the cake. However, I felt the chocolate cake was a tad bit too hard for my liking.
This dish gets 3 out of 5 stars.
2nd dessert: lemongrass panna cotta, pineapple and sorbet
The pineapple went really well with the sorbet. However, the panna cotta was a bit off.
This dish gets 3 out of 5 stars.
Bonus points: The staff were extremely service oriented and friendly. From the moment we entered the lift, we were greeted by every staff with a warm friendly smile. Some of the staff also came to talk to us and shared with us how the restaurant was just recently refurbished. Kudos to the awesome service!
