Tokyo Disneysea

2nd time back at Tokyo Disneysea and ain't regretting it.
The last time I was here was in the Spring of 2010. I remember the park being tastefully decorated with colourful flowers and there was an atmosphere of fresh flowers blooming after months of the cold dreary winter. Now fast forward to 2014 and I am extremely excited to be back here again.

Was wondering if this was some cult when we walked past this area. Turns out, the Japs being Japs, were shielding themselves from the hot sun while waiting for a performance to begin.

Wondering why there are spider webs hanging across the buildings? Well, Halloween is the theme of this season!

Halloween came early at Disneysea.

It seems like every theme park has to have a house of terror.

One thing that makes me love the Disney theme parks has got to be their awesome shows featuring a mix of gymnastics, colourful costumes, disney characters and different genres of dancing. Whoever choreographed the entire dance routine is one extremely creative talent.

Introducing the bear that gets so much attention at Disneysea.... Duffy!
What makes Disneysea such a memorable experience, is the fact that the Duffy craze is really crazy to the max here. Almost every Jap girl I see in Disneysea, carries a Duffy bear with her. And most of the time, its not just one Duffy bear but like 5 or 6. Its so common to see a girl carrying a Duffy bear in her hand and slinging 4 or 5 other Duffy bears on her bag. I was just telling my travel buddy, how you are actually considered very uncool, if you don't carry a Duffy bear around, cause you become the odd one out.  She did not get it, until she saw with her own eye,s how immense the Duffy craze in Disneysea is.

Many of you are probably wondering... which one should I go to? Disneysea or Disneyland? Go to Disneysea if you are curious to check out the whole Duffy craze. The rides in Disneysea are a mixture of mild and intermediate ones. But don't expect sky high drops like what you see at Sixflags. Disneysea has fireworks at night too but its not as romantic as the ones at Disneyland. Having said all this, there is only one Disneysea in the whole wide world but at least 4 Disneylands on this earth. So if you have the extra time in Tokyo, it is worth checking out the Duffy crazy only one of its kind at Disneysea.
