Fishing for food - The Cajun Kings

It was a first for me. My first time fishing for food and having to eat without plates. At the Cajun Kings, we had to dig our food out from plastic bags, lay the freshly cooked seafood on the table and start our meal from there.

It is an interesting concept and many restaurants have caught on a similar bandwagon. But apart from getting your hands dirty, I have to comment that the seafood was really fresh and juicy, especially the prawns!

My set of prawns, out from the bag,  moments before I laid my fingers on them. The prawns were not only huge, but fresh and juicy too. Our prawns was part of a combo that came with a set of New Zealand mussels, sausages and fries. The mussels were equally fresh too!I really like how the meat came out soft and with remnants of the gravy still in the shell, all ready for you to slurp it out!

The fries were crispy and the dip tasted like mentaiko sauce. I'm a fries lover so this was the perfect carbohydrates for me.

Our ciders which we ordered. This restaurant has an amazing selection of draught and craft beers.
A perfect pairing to go with your seafood.

And this was what I was waiting for the entire time. The lobster here is the bomb! The freshness of the lobster was evident by the soft and succulent taste of the meat. I like how it was cooked to perfection too.

I would love to come back here again. From the service staff to the food, everything here was awesome. Prices here are a bit on the steep side but hey, you are paying for good service and high quality fresh seafood!
