Fat Cow

This was a big miss for me. Having heard many raves about Fat Cow, I told M about it and decided to check it out on my birthday. We reserved a table, got there on time and were ushered into our own corner.

I ordered the supposedly famous Donabemeshi. If you notice my pot, I wasn't served beef slices. Instead, I was served beef cubes and it was the cubes that killed the dish. The beef was so bad. So bad that M said that the dish tasted like a $5 bowl of beef rice. The beef was bitter, rough and mushy. It was really the most disappointing beef dish in my life. -_- It cost me $78. Well lesson learnt for me; the price of a beef bowl does not justify its taste.

M's steak. This was the saving grace to our entire meal. The meat was soft yet succulent.
I should have ordered a steak too!!!

We ordered a pot of sukiyaki too. This was another miss. The soup was bland and the vegetables were not able to soak in the essence of the soup. The beef turned out pretty normal too.

I know many people have said that Fat Cow serves up one of the best beef in Singapore. A pity my outing there was a complete miss due to my beef bowl.
