5 seafood restaurants in Batam

1. Delima Seafood
Marina Waterfront, Waterfront CityRiau Islands ProvinceIndonesia

For those staying near Waterfront ferry terminal, this is an ideal place to have dinner. This restaurant is about a 3 minute drive from Harris Waterfront hotel and only a 2 minute drive from Holiday Inn Waterfront. Expect to dine in an open air rustic kelong setting while you feast on the fresh seafood which the chefs have to offer. Their star dish here has got to be their crabs. They are served fresh, with lots of meat and also extremely friendly on the wallet. Crab lovers will glee in delight as the prices of crabs here are half of what is normally found in JUMBO or No Signboard seafood restaurant . So don't leave this place without trying their crabs!

Weekend Pig Out 1

I've decided to start this new series called 'Weekend Pig Out' to create a log on my foodie adventures.
I've no idea how long this will last. I'm currently at this phase of my life with limited liabilities (no loans) and not married with kids yet, so most of my money goes to indulging during the weekend. Hence, while it lasts, I shall attempt to keep as many journal entries of what goes into my digestive system.

1. Mama Mia! We love pizzas!

We dined here bcos of all the choices available along the stretch of restaurants, he preferred eating pizza. We sat inside at first, but I chose to change our seats as I wanted a better view of the marina. It was a bad choice. The scorching heat melted my makeup and the houseflies kept buzzing around our food. The houseflies were such lightbulbs!! The thin crust pizza was excellent but eating inside would have been a better option.

2. Never saying never to crabs

We both love crabs! And yes its our 2nd time back at the No Signboard Seafood at Geylang. Ok for the record, crabs are not cheap in Singapore. One crab costs about $60 per kg but hey, they are so good and flavourful that we were willing to splurge and go back a 2nd time!

A good thirst quencher but too bad, this is an expensive item in Sg!
And baby, this is what I slogged the whole entire week for. You nasty little thing, finally got my hands on you over the weekend.

Till the next week
