Last Saturday saw me throwing a pre-wedding party at MBS and through a friend, I managed to book the Orchid Suite. There were many hits and misses but this post shall highlight what I was happy with.
I was given a room right at the end of tower 3 and hence, we were lucky to get both the city and garden views. For the city view, I was able to see the hotels around the Marina Bay area and The Float at Marina Bay. My balcony faced Gardens by the Bay and we were lucky to be able to see the dazzling lights of the supertrees at night. I was given two balconies and the space was huge!
The living room was where most of the action took place. We had our dinner here and played cards against humanity around the coffee table. It can sit about 12 people comfortably if your guests do not mind sitting on the floor. I was a bit afraid of the lack of chairs initially, but thank goodness, MBS was kind enough to loan us 4 banquet chairs for the night.
A plus point of the toilet was the bath tub which one could soak in. I had a warm soapy bath at night and the feeling was awesome! There is a shower available if you want to skip soaking in a tub and need a quick wash instead.
The bed was comfortable and the thickness was just right. It was neither too hard or soft and I managed to get a good night's rest. The only downside was the early check-out at 11am -_-.
Wish I could have slept in more.
View from Club 55
For Breakfast, I headed up to Club55. Club 55 as the name suggests, is situated on the 55th floor and one can enjoy a bird's eye view of the surroundings. Overall, the quality of the food was awesome, just like the view.
MBS is without a doubt, a hotel with an awesome view. If you are a sucker for views, this is one hotel you should consider checking out.
