The Clan Restaurant

Decided to try out a new restaurant called the "The Clan Restaurant" when Az said that there was a 50% promo if one used the Amex card.

Wagyu Beef Loin with himalayan pink salt and au jus
$48

The beef was tender and it was cooked medium rare. It was placed on a set of hot stone to allow you to flip the beef as and when you wanted. Overall, it was chewy, succulent and tasted great.

Dorper lamb with pistachio, yellow curry, fava beans and wild mushrooms
$44

The lamb was so chewy and it was cooked medium. The mushrooms were a good pairing to the lamb and I loved how the pistachio added a crunchy taste to the dish.

Oysters fin de claire trio
$22

This was an interesting dish as the oysters were paired with different types of flavour. The first was paired with a lemon while the second was paired with a tinge of tabasco sauce. The last one caught me off guard as it was soaked in egg yolk.

Clan's pasta
$18

A simple flavourful pasta that was mixed with truffle oil and served with crayfish. One can't go wrong with this dish.

Summer Fizzy
$20

We sealed the deal with this citrus dessert. I love how all the flavours came together perfectly.
The tangerine ice cream had bits of citrus peach campote in it and it was served with soursop granita and wild berries.

Overall, the quality of the food here is definitely fresh and that of a restaurant quality. However, the mains did appear rather small. We spent about $60 per pax all in after having three appetizers, two mains and one desserts.
