What comes to your mind when someone says we're going to dine at a Japanese-Western fusion style restaurant?
I had a late Saturday morning gathering at Hoshino Coffee and it was the perfect time to try out their brunch menu, and of course, their famous hand-dripped coffee. Their coffee is definitely worth trying. It was thick, rich and aromatic.
Pancake and Omu Souffle with Smoked Salmon ($18.80)
The best part of their brunch sets has got to be their pancakes and eggs. The eggs were cooked scrambled style and there was a nice creamy fluff to it. The pancakes were warm, smooth and fluffy too.
Pancake and Omu Souffle set with Angus Steak ($19.80)
Angus Beef Steak Plate with Toast ($21.80)
Salmon Spaghetti with Wasabi Cream Sauce ($16)
Strawberry French Toast ($12.80)
Ahh... I was tricked when the softly baked French Toast came. I originally thought that the whipped cream was a scoop of ice cream! Was actually a tad bit disappointed that it wasn't.
All in, the ambience of this place is definitely why I would come here again. They have booth seats which provides the privacy and cosiness for long conversations. It is a nice place to catch up with friends or family while one relaxes over a cup of their famous hand-dripped coffee.
